The Brunswick Big Band |

In 2005, Jean Willett, who at the time was the Principle Conductor of the Concert Band, finally acted on a long-standing urge and created the Brunswick Big Band as a division of the Concert Band, using some of the same musicians. The Big Band started playing as part of the Concert Band’s performances, and in a very short period of time developed a reputation of its own. Currently under the leadership of Frank Mahoney, an accomplished trumpet player with significant big band experience, the ensemble is in demand for receptions and public performances around the Cape Fear area.
